What is Automation Organizer?
Automation Organizer is an IDEC automation software suite that combines the latest versions of WindLDR, WindO/I-NV2, and WindCFG software into one package.

Do I have to install all three software with this Automation Organizer package?
No. When you download the upgrade file and run installation, you have option to install just WindLDR, or WindO/I-NV2 software by itself. But if you choose to install the new system configuration software, WindCFG, then WindLDR and WindO/I-NV2 will also be installed on your PC.

I was prompted by the Automatic Updates feature in WindLDR/WindO/I-NV2 software that there’s a new version of WindLDR/WindO/I-NV2 available, did I come to the right place?
Yes. If you are a current user of WindLDR or WindO/I-NV2, you are eligible for FREE upgrade to our new software suite, Automation Organizer, which includes new WindLDR, WindO/I-NV2 and WindCFG.

I noticed the Automation Organizer suite includes new configuration software called WindCFG. What is it and do I have to use it?
WindCFG is a system layout configuration program that allows you to visually layout your IDEC PLCs and OI touchscreen controls system. It also allows WindLDR and WindO/I-NV2 to share the same tag names. WindCFG is beneficial to users if you currently use both IDEC PLCs and OI touchscreens. If you choose to start off with WindCFG then consequent WindLDR and WindO/I-NV2 programs need to be initiated from WindCFG. The biggest benefits of using WindCFG are (1) tag name sharing between IDEC PLCs and OI touchscreens (2) visually layout your control systems and (3) generate and document your bill of materials for your IDEC PLC and OI systems. How much does it cost to upgrade my current WindLDR 5.xx or WindO/I-NV2 4.xx software?
Upgrades are FREE for current WindLDR (with version 4.xx or above) or WindO/I-NV2 (with version 2.xx or above) users.

What is new in WindLDR which is included in this Automation Organizer suite?
Biggest differences in WindLDR compared to previous versions of WindLDR is the new modern user interface and Menu layout. This new GUI (graphic user interface) and layout are specifically designed to adapt to today’s style. Also, some of the features have been improved. Please click here to find out more details.

By installing this upgrade, will it over-write my existing WindLDR or WindO/I-NV2 software on my PC?
If you currently have WindLDR version 5.34 (or below) on your PC, installing this upgrade will NOT over-write existing WindLDR software. You can use both the old version and new WindLDR version side by side. However, the new WindLDR upgrade is NOT backward-compatible. If you create and compileyour ladder program in the new WindLDR upgrade, then it can not be opened in previous versions of WindLDR.
If you currently have WindO/I-NV2 version 3.42 (or below) on your PLC, installing this upgrade WILL over-write existing WindO/I-NV2 software. If you prefer to keep the previous version of WindO/I-NV2 on your PC, please click here for instructions on how to relocate the current WindO/I-NV2 folder to a different directory.

I ONLY use the old Micro3, Micro3C, FA2J or FA3S IDEC PLCs do I need to upgrade to this Automation Organizer suite?
If you only use the Micro3, Micro3C, FA2J or FA3S PLCs then upgrading to Automation Organizer suite will not have any benefit since the new WindLDR version 6.X included in Automation Organizer suites does NOT support these old PLCs.

What if I choose not to upgrade?
You can choose not to upgrade and continue using the current version of WindLDR or WindO/I-NV2 but future enhancements and bug fixes will not be available unless you upgrade to Automation Organizer suite.

What is Microsoft .NET Framework?
In order to install Automation Organizer suite, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 or above is required. You can manually download and install .NET Framework 3.5 at this Microsoft website, or if your PC is connected to the Internet during installation of Automation Organizer, it will prompt and automatically download it to your PC.

What is new in WindO/I-NV2 which is included in this Automation Organizer suite?
