Just starting to write a PLC program. We decided to go with an Idec FC5A-D12S1E for (mostly) budget & performance reasons. Anyone here have experience programming them? My biggest worry is that I am communicating with a Stepper Motor via Modbus TCP (or maybe just Ethernet). Any suggestions? Cautions? Thanks in advance!

First, why do all your posts contain links to random sites? If these are determined malicious your posts could be deleted. I have gone through and removed these links.

Modbus TCP with the FC5A-D12 is pretty easy. Browse the video tutorials on the IDEC support page and you'll find some good info.
