PID FT1A only going to 100% Messages in this topic - RSS

This is my first time attempting to use PID control in a program and I'm having some trouble. I am attempting to write a program with a PID feedback loop. I have an encoder input. I then calculate RPM, and then I want to adjust my AQ0 to maintain a set speed. So far all I can do is make the analog output jump to 100% (1000). I also can't set an initial analog value to get my motor up and going before initializing the PID control.
Also, is there a way to change the PID variables once the PID has been called? i.e. if I use a set point of 40 but I want to increase it to 50 can I just write that variable to my SP and it will redefine itself?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've attached a copy of my current program.
