Hi

I am trying to set up a local network for an HMI and PLC using a 4G Router

The IP address for the HMI is 192.168.0.10
The IP address for the PLC is 192.168.0.11
The IP address for my laptop is 192.168.0.145

I initially downloaded the PLC program via USB, I've configured the IP address for the both PLC and the HMI and both devices are communicating, I can connect to the HMI from my laptop over the LAN using NV4

Try as I might I can't get WindLDR to connect to the PLC using 192.168.0.11 and port 2101, it just times out.

I'm using WindLDR 8.11.0 and NV4 1.11.1

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Are you trying to connect to the PLC on the LAN side of the network or through the cellular? And which PLC are you using?

On the LAN side, it's an FC6A-C24R1CE

make sure the gateway address is not interfering.

Make sure Mataintenance Communications is setup in the Configuration/Connection Settings/Server and when you go to "Online" program or monitor in the Communications Setup area you enter port 2101. I often leave gateway blank on PLC but recently (on a FT1A project) had to go to the Maintenance Communication settings and where there is a checkbox to "Allow Access by IP Address" I had to check it and put in the IP address of my LAN device (have never had to do this on an FC5, however). This is usually used to restrict access not enable it. But solved the comm problem in this case. Worth a try.

Also make sure "Use HGxG Pass-Through" is not checked.
